Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in South Charlotte in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their 2 preschool-age boys. The nanny would typically be needed Monday-Friday, 45-55 hours.

The best nanny for this family would be responsible, active, organized, kind, and able to balance firm boundaries with warmth and understanding. Experience managing emotions and sibling dynamics is essential, along with a genuine love for engaging children in active play and learning. The family is seeking someone who can create a nurturing, structured environment while planning daily activities that align with the children’s interests and complement what they are learning in school. Favorite activities include reading, listening to music, building with blocks and Magna-Tiles, imaginative play, outdoor adventures, and active games like chase and running.

The role includes managing school drop-off and pick-up from half-day preschool, and planning fun, educational outings in the community. While the children are in school, the Family Assistant will take on household management tasks (listed below) to support a smoothly running home. The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to anticipate the needs of the family. Parents occasionally work from home in a separate office, so comfort working alongside a parent is important.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

• School drop off and pick up

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep, including school lunches and snacks, and light dinner prep for the family

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Picking up after the nanny and the children throughout the day

• Running general errands

• Package management and returns

• Grocery shopping on occasion

• Organize children’s rooms and closets

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• Must be able to swim (family has a pool)

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts on October 16th

• Legal pay is offered at $28-$32 an hour, depending on experience
