Maquoketa Care Center is looking for a Full Time Day Shift Maintenace Supervisor to assist in the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility. In this position you will also oversee Housekeeping and Laundry staff and day-to-day operations within those departments. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and a team approach. Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day maintenance functions.
• Assist in setting Maintenance standards.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with Nursing Services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Assist in scheduling work assignments, preparing work schedules, etc. Revising as necessary.
• Submit accident/incident on the shift in which they occurred.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in a maintenance department in a health-related facility.
• Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures in the long-term care facility.
• Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Maintenance Department.
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of work areas.
• Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for order, safety and proper performance of equipment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner
• Entry Level (0-2 years)
