Full-Time House Manager for a Family in Fort Mill, SC
Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Fort Mill, SC, in finding a Full-Time House Manager for their family of 5, soon to be 6 (the parents have three children ages 5, 3, and 18 months old, with a baby on the way). The House Manager would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
The best nanny for this family would be a proactive, highly organized, honest, and reliable House Manager who takes pride in their job, maintains a well-run home, and enjoys supporting a busy family. This role focuses primarily on household and estate management support and does not include childcare, unless on rare occasions when the children need to be transported to an appointment.
The House Manager would be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the home run smoothly, proactively taking care of tasks, and anticipating the family’s needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to coordinating, scheduling, and overseeing household vendors and service providers; managing laundry and daily dishes; organizing and maintaining general household tidiness; personal shopping; and meal preparation, with careful attention to food allergy protocols (tree nut, dairy, and sunflower products).
The family maintains a hypoallergenic environment, so the candidate must follow specific practices such as using hypoallergenic cleaning products, avoiding scented dryer sheets, vacuuming frequently, and being mindful of keeping the home as hypoallergenic as possible. Additional duties include coordinating travel logistics such as packing/unpacking and scheduling trips, arranging babysitters when needed, planning occasional special events, managing vehicle maintenance appointments, and providing occasional transportation for family members as needed.
