Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader to lead one of our lawn maintenance crews and assist with winter snow and ice management. This is a year-round leadership position for a professional who takes pride in producing high-quality results, running efficient routes, and leading a team with accountability.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on lawn care experience, proven leadership ability, and experience with commercial snow plowing and salting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of lawn maintenance technicians
Perform and oversee mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and weed control
Plan, delegate, and execute daily lawn maintenance routes efficiently
Ensure properties meet company quality and appearance standards
Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques, safety protocols, and company policies
Inspect, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company standards
Maintain quality control and consistent professional results
Oversee inventory of lawn care materials and report supply needs
Maintain records of work completed, time tracking, and productivity
Communicate with Operations Manager regarding scheduling, performance, and job progress
Safely operate trucks, trailers, and lawn equipment
Operate plow trucks and spreaders for commercial snow plowing and salting
Manage assigned snow routes efficiently and safely
Be available on-call during snow events (nights, weekends, and holidays)
Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in lawn maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping
Proven leadership or crew management experience
In-depth knowledge of lawn care techniques and equipment
Experience operating riding mowers, push mowers, trimmers, blowers, and related equipment
Experience with commercial snow plowing and salting preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
