Full-Time Nanny – Greenwich, CT
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM (occasional earlier starts, overnights, or schedule changes as needed)
Compensation: $35/hour (guaranteed 50 hours per week)

A warm and easygoing family in Greenwich, CT is seeking an energetic, proactive, and adaptable full-time live-out nanny to support a busy household with school-aged children. The family currently has five children (ages 2, 6, 8, 9, and 11), with a new baby expected in March 2026. A baby nurse will assist with infant care during the first year.
This is a long-term, live-out position ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented household and enjoys partnering closely with a hands-on parent and other staff. While the home is active, the nanny will typically be responsible for two children at a time as part of a well-coordinated team. The family values someone calm, organized, reliable, and able to bring positive, fun energy to each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for the children-primarily in the afternoons and evenings.
- Work collaboratively with the mother to “divide and conquer” daily routines, activities, and responsibilities.
- Safely transport children to and from school, lessons, and extracurricular activities (family vehicle provided).
- Plan and engage the children in creative, active, and age-appropriate play both indoors and outdoors.
- Supervise homework and provide academic encouragement for school-aged children.
- Organize and prepare children’s belongings each day - backpacks, snacks, and activity bags.
- Assist with simple meal prep for the children and support evening and bedtime routines.
- Maintain tidiness in children’s rooms, play areas, and common spaces.
- Partner with household staff (driver, housekeeper, and estate manager) to ensure smooth daily flow.
- Occasionally travel with the family and provide overnight support when needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of professional childcare experience in private homes.
- Strong driving skills and clean driving record; confident transporting multiple children (vehicle provided).
- Energetic, reliable, and physically active - enjoys keeping up with busy, athletic kids.
- Naturally organized, intuitive, and calm under pressure; able to adapt to shifting schedules and needs.
- Flexibility to adjust hours or days when school is closed or a child is home sick.
- Comfortable collaborating with a hands-on parent and a team of household staff.
- Spanish or French a plus but not necessary (multilingual home).
- Comfortable swimming and swimming with children preferred, but not a requirement.
- Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay overnight when needed.
