Full-Time Nanny: 35-40 hours/week
Location: 4434 Carlisle Pike, Suite H, Camp Hill, PA 17011 (and around the Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg and surrounding West Shore space) Job Type: Hourly, In-person Schedule: Flexible schedule Hours of Operation: 8am-8pm | 7 days a week Starting Compensation: $25/hour
Position Summary
The Hub Happiness Nanny is a dedicated childcare professional who provides high-quality, individualized care through The Parent Hub’s shared nanny model. This role supports multiple families across scheduled care blocks, with care taking place in a family’s home and/or at a designated Parent Hub–supported service location.
During each scheduled care block, the Hub Happiness Nanny provides one-to-one care for a single family at a time.
This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to transition smoothly between families while maintaining consistent, high-quality care. Hub Happiness Nannies play an essential role in supporting children’s development and helping families feel calm, organized, and supported.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare & Daily Care
Provide attentive, high-quality childcare to children from multiple families based on scheduled care blocks
Support children’s daily routines, including meals, snacks, naps, play, hygiene, and transitions
Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment tailored to each child’s age and developmental stage
Supervise children at all times to ensure health, safety, and well-being
Shared Nanny Model & Scheduling
Work within The Parent Hub’s shared nanny model, supporting multiple families with scheduled care assignments
Provide care in family homes and/or at Parent Hub–supported service locations as scheduled
Transition smoothly between families while maintaining consistency, professionalism, and care standards.
Follow scheduling, timekeeping, and care protocols coordinated by The Parent Hub
Family Communication & Relationship Building
Build positive, respectful relationships with children and families
Communicate clearly with families regarding daily routines, activities, and updates
Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times
Engagement & Development
Plan and engage children in age-appropriate activities that support learning, creativity, and social/emotional development
Encourage positive behavior, independence, and healthy emotional expression
Support children during transitions between activities, environments, or caregivers
Light Household Support
Provide light household support to help maintain a calm and functional family environment
Assist with laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away clothing as requested
Support basic kitchen tidying such as cleaning dishes, bottles, or food prep items
Help with light tidying of household spaces and family car spaces
Support daily family routines in ways that help families feel organized, supported, and cared for
Pet Awareness & Light Pet Care
Comfortably work in family homes that may include pets such as dogs or cats
Provide light, routine pet care when requested as part of the family environment, which may include letting pets outside, walking, feeding, or general supervision
Ensure pets are managed safely and appropriately in relation to children during care hours
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of four (4) years of professional childcare experience (private nannying, licensed childcare settings, or comparable roles)
Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including children as young as 6 weeks old
Current Infant & Child CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
Clean driving record and reliable transportation to travel locally for in-home care assignments
Clear, professional communication skills, including comfort providing routine updates to families
Formal training or education in early childhood development, which may include:
Coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
Child Development Associate (CDA) or related credential
Equivalent professional experience
All Nannies must also successfully complete all Pennsylvania DHS-required background clearances, including:
PA State Criminal History Clearance
PA Child Abuse History Clearance
FBI Fingerprinting
Preferred additional qualifications
While not required, the following experience is considered a strong asset:
Experience supporting daily routines and developmental milestones, including feeding, sleep, potty training, and transitions
Familiarity with play-based or child-led care approaches, such as Montessori or similar philosophies
Experience caring for multiple children or supporting multiple families
Advanced education or certifications, such as:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) certification
Infant development or sleep training coursework
Professional Representation & Leadership Presence
As a family-facing role, you are expected to:
Maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance
Practice good personal hygiene and present themselves with calm confidence and approachability
Dress in business casual or business professional attire, appropriate to daily operations and meetings
Represent The Parent Hub with professionalism, warmth, and integrity in all interactions
