Full-Time Nanny for a 5 Month Old in Foxcroft
Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Foxcroft neighborhood in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 5-month-old daughter. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 7:00 pm. The family guarantees 55 hours per week; some weeks may be longer, depending on the family’s work schedule. Occasional travel with the family may be needed, and there may be times when the parents travel for work, requiring the nanny to care for the baby at home.
The best nanny for this family would be a warm and loving individual who genuinely adores babies and young children. Nanny should have a great sense of humor, enjoy being playful and silly, and focus on play, exploration, and curiosity rather than solely on achievement. The family values someone who takes initiative, has a bias for action, and brings their own ideas and expertise to the role. Each day, the nanny should provide a clear structure and framework for the child, while allowing the child a good deal of freedom within that structure. It is important for the nanny to emphasize and share the family’s values of good manners, respect, and good behavior.
Their daughter is a happy five-month-old girl who loves to eat, loves music, has a big grin, and is stubbornly determined to stand up and walk even though she can’t sit up on her own yet. The baby is very alert, she loves to listen to books being read to her, and grabs toys and rattles. Currently, she spends a lot of time doing tummy time and playing on the Lovevery play mat. She loves going on walks in the stroller outside; strolls make her calm and sleepy. Their daughter is overall a relaxed and curious girl, and she loves new activities, whether it's visiting the grocery store, going out to lunch with her mom, or singing songs with her dad.
The role is centered on creating a stimulating and nurturing environment through playtime, music, reading, and age-appropriate learning activities. Outings such as walks, trips to the park, playgroups, and classes are encouraged to support exploration and socialization. Nanny would be responsible for driving their daughter to activities and planning the baby's day through developmentally appropriate and engaging activities. The family would also like to find a nanny who is experienced with baby-led weaning, knowledgeable about early childhood milestones, and familiar with sleep training (in case of a regression). Supporting nap schedules and developmental milestones is key.
The family views their nanny as part of the parenting team and expects them to provide firm yet loving guidance and discipline when needed, always in alignment with the family’s approach. Being an excellent communicator is essential, both as their daughter develops language and to be in touch with the parents throughout each day. Discretion and confidentiality are also highly valued. The family is seeking a nanny who is interested in joining their family long-term, working in collaboration with the parents to provide a nurturing environment for their daughter, and growing with the family as they do.
