Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Dilworth in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 7-year-old son & 3.5-year-old daughter. The nanny would have 43 guaranteed hours during the school year (mid- August through end of May) and [50] guaranteed hours during the summer (weekly seasonal schedule below), It is also important for the nanny to be relatively flexible and accommodate schedule changes if and when they arise on occasion. The mom and dad both work and occasionally travel for work, including at concurrent time, and as such may also need help with periodical overnights, typically not exceeding 5-6 times throughout the year (in 1-night increments). The nanny would be incrementally compensated for overnight needs (negotiated rate to be discussed) and provided with their own private bedroom and bathroom.

Weekly Schedule (School Year – guaranteed 43 hours per week)

    • Mondays 8:00a – 6:30p
    • Tuesdays 8:00a – 6:30p
    • Wednesdays 12:15p – 6:30p
    • Thursdays 8:00a – 6:30p
    • Fridays 12:15p – 5:30p

Weekly Schedule (Summer – guaranteed 50 hours per week)

    • Mondays through Thursdays 8:15a – 6:30p
    • Fridays 8:15a – 5:15p

The best nanny for this family would be active, organized, highly reliable, have strong communication skills, be able to anticipate the children’s needs, and be experienced in caring for multiple children. During the school year, the 7-year-old will be in 1st-grade daily (parents will handle morning bus drop off), and the 3-year-old will be in preschool Monday - Friday from 8:45 am to 12:30 pm. The nanny will be responsible for picking up their son from the bus stop daily and picking their daughter up from preschool daily, and occasionally taking their daughter to preschool (based on the agreed-upon schedule above). When the children are in school, the nanny will be asked to run child-related errands, plan, shop for and prepare nutritious meals (including school lunch for their daughter and dinner for both children), and other tasks listed below. When the children are involved in various activities and sports, the nanny would regularly be asked to manage the schedules and assist with transportation. If their grade-school son has school projects or homework, the nanny will be asked to work alongside him to help complete these tasks.

Both kids are active and love being outdoors, so it is important to the family to find a nanny who will interact with their children on their level and be creative in scheduling fun and engaging activities (inside and outside the home). These activities should include playing outside, going for walks / bike rides, going to the park and museums, helping coordinate playdates and other age-appropriate activities within the community. The mom works from home in a detached office; it is important that the nanny respect work-from-home boundaries, and the mom will do the same.
