We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Olympic Hotel as our new Room Attendant. The Room Attendant at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to hotel guests. The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in creating a positive and comfortable experience for guests during their stay. This is a seasonal position with a tentative end date of December 31st.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize guest rooms and bathrooms.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and missing or damaged items.
• Report maintenance concerns, lost and found items, and guest requests to the appropriate department.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas.
• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, and guest belongings.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and special room requirements.
• Maintain productivity and complete assigned rooms within established timeframes.
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, security, and housekeeping procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service to guests and colleagues.

• Previous experience as a room attendant or in a similar housekeeping position is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks
• Knowledge of proper handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Required to hold valid US work authorization

Physical requirements include:

This job requires constant standing, walking, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. Must be physically capable of performing duties which involve repetitive bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting of heavy objects.
