We are growing fast, and we need a trial attorney who can hit the ground running. Responsibilities: • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses • Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions • Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings • Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws • Assist with the discovery process by conducting depositions, issuing interrogatories and requests for the production of documents, and reviewing discovery requests, responses, and responsive discovery materials • Negotiate client-focused resolutions and settlements • Perform legal research • Communicate with clients, opposing counsels, witnesses, the court, and third parties regarding pending matters • Conduct strategy sessions with clients • Represent clients in all phases of litigation • Represent clients in trial Qualifications: • Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload • Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school • Member of state and local bar associations in good standing • Applicants must have trial, mediation, and arbitration representation experience • 3+ years experience Compensation: $140,000
