    Associate Attorney (3+ years experience) Are you a passionate advocate who wants to help people get to a fuller life? Do you want your advocacy to positively change lives? We are an enterprising family law and property litigation firm that is on track for aggressive growth and we need an experienced trial attorney to join our team and work directly with the owner and attorneys to support the team and help our clients obtain a better future. We want to be known for helping our clients come out of an extremely emotional process feeling as though they are a better person, in a better position, and that they had a team behind them that really cared and fought for them. We are growing fast, and we need a trial attorney who can hit the ground running. Responsibilities: • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses • Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions • Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings • Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws • Assist with the discovery process by conducting depositions, issuing interrogatories and requests for the production of documents, and reviewing discovery requests, responses, and responsive discovery materials • Negotiate client-focused resolutions and settlements • Perform legal research • Communicate with clients, opposing counsels, witnesses, the court, and third parties regarding pending matters • Conduct strategy sessions with clients • Represent clients in all phases of litigation • Represent clients in trial Qualifications: • Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload • Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school • Member of state and local bar associations in good standing • Applicants must have trial, mediation, and arbitration representation experience • 3+ years experience Compensation: $140,000
