Job Summary
Aniz Inc. is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly motivated Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The CCMA plays a critical role in delivering integrative, patient-centered care by supporting both clinical and administrative operations. In addition to general medical assisting duties, this position involves phlebotomy, specimen collection, front desk support, and coordination of care. This is a high-impact role where your attention to detail and empathy will make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
Perform general patient care in accordance with clinical protocols and established procedures.
Greet and prepare patients for exams and procedures.
Accurately obtain and document patient history and vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, and current medications.
Collect and prepare blood, tissue, and fluid specimens for diagnostic testing, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
Determine and perform appropriate venipuncture techniques, providing reassurance and comfort throughout the process.
Administer medications and vaccines as ordered by the provider (via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, or inhalant routes).
Perform routine tests such as EKGs and point-of-care testing.
Communicate test results and care instructions to patients per provider direction.
Maintain exam rooms and equipment by cleaning, sterilizing, and restocking as needed.
Document all care provided, test results, and provider instructions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Ensure safety protocols, infection control procedures, and quality control checks are completed consistently.
Administrative & Front Desk Support
Check-in patients, verify insurance information, and collect co-pays or service fees.
Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate diagnostic testing.
Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and route calls/messages appropriately.
Assist with retail product sales and manage front desk operations as needed.
Communicate with insurance providers for verification and billing procedures.
Uphold patient privacy and HIPAA compliance at all times.
Qualifications
Required Certifications:
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential.
Phlebotomy certification (or equivalent training and experience).
Experience:
Minimum of 1–2 years working in a medical office, outpatient clinic, or community health setting.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of patient identification protocols and safety standards.
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for specimen handling.
Proficient in EMR systems and basic medical documentation.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Bilingual (preferred but not required).
