    Position:

    Quality Associate - 2nd Shift

    Position Summary

    In our team-oriented environment, the Quality Technician performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacturing of products.  Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production.  Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.

    What You'll Do:

    • Develop and maintain inspection reports
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications
    • Perform inspections across all stages of production
    • Sample raw ingredients and batched product with proper aseptic technique
    • Prepare and maintain test data for review
    • Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
    • Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
    • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills/Abilities

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Experience with GMP standards
    • Solid understanding of testing equipment
    • Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience
    • Knowledge of safety requirements and legal standards
    • Strong analytical and data analysis skills
    • Detail orientated
    • Able to work any shift, including overtime
    • Competent with using a PC, Word, Excel, and Windows OS

    Education

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent

      

    Physical Demands:

    • Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds each
    • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
    • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all-day
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
    • Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
    • Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
    • Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
    • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces
    • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
