The Functional Family Therapist provides in-home Functional Family Therapy (FFT/FFT-CW) to youth and families to reduce family conflict, strengthen protective factors, and prevent out-of-home placement. Services are delivered in alignment with the FFT model, philosophy, and fidelity standards.
We are looking for a Functional Family Therapist who must have:
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
- Two (2) years’ experience providing family-based or in-home clinical services.
- Strong interpersonal, engagement, and crisis intervention skills.
- Valid Florida driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
- Deliver weekly, home-based, family sessions using the FFT or FFT-CW model.
- Maintain a caseload of up to 12 families, serving each for approximately 3-4 months.
- Participate in the 24/7 crisis support rotation, providing phone-based assistance and coordination for families experiencing urgent needs.
- Assess, plan, and intervene using FFT principles: engagement, motivation, behavior change, and generalization.
- Participate in weekly supervision and team consultations with the FFT Consultant and Program Director.
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely data entry in CSS.
- Represent the FFT program in community outreach and partnership activities.
- Collaborate with referral sources, schools, courts, and community providers to support treatment goals.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
