Job Requirement: General Requirements & Recurring Functional Support CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD
Position Title: Functional Support Analyst (Senior)
Location: Headquarters Space Operations Command (HQ SpOC), Peterson Space Force Base, CO
Key Responsibilities:
Staffing Packages:
Gather data, develop senior leader-level presentations, and complete staff work for products requiring internal or external coordination.
Perform Action Officer (AO) level work, including coordinating with multiple agencies, consolidating inputs, adjudicating comments, analyzing data, and publishing/distributing products.
Task Response:
Develop responses to formal tasks from multiple sources (e.g., E-staffing, Line of Sight, Meetings).
Create point papers, presentation materials, comments, and formal letters for Government signature.
Maintain a Government-provided task tracking database (Tasker Tracker Database - TTDB).
Integration and Coordination:
Integrate and coordinate responses to tasks across internal and external organizations (e.g., HQ USSF, HQ SpOC, MD 3, FFRDC, agencies, contractor personnel).
Interface with staffs of SECDEF, Service Chiefs, Combatant Commands, coalition partners, and USSF Field Command operational units.
Document Review:
Review, analyze, and provide recommended changes to documents accomplished by other organizations.
Consolidate comments, de-conflict contradictory inputs, and resolve critical comments.
Meetings:
Schedule, organize, and attend meetings as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or facilitator.
Develop/distribute agendas, maintain attendance lists, facilitate discussions, and provide meeting minutes.
Support Space Control Community of Interest (COI) meetings to address cross-program integration and multi-mission issues.
Trip Reports and Meeting Minutes:
Provide trip report summaries and meeting minutes detailing meeting purpose, discussion points, SME summary, and action items within 3 business days of the event.
Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Training Support:
Review operator and maintainer training plans for newly acquired or modified USSF systems.
Identify required changes and verify compliance with HQ SpOC guidance.
Instructions, Guidance, and Policies:
Review, draft, update, and maintain USSF, HQ SpOC, and MD 3 instructions, guidance, and policies supporting operations.
Assist in the development and implementation of Special Access Program (SAP) policy, directives, and manuals.
Qualifications: Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
Education: May possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Program Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in functional support, task management, or operations coordination within a government or military environment.
Familiarity with staffing packages, task response processes, and document review is preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and task tracking tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in program management or operations support are a plus.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience with task tracking databases and document review processes.
Knowledge of O&M training support and SAP policy development.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Note: This position requires strict adherence to security protocols and may involve occasional travel to support operational requirements.
