Job Summary
The Fund Accountant is responsible for providing specialized accounting support for commingled investment portfolios. This position involves using fund accounting systems to perform core aspects of Net Asset Value (NAV) execution including transactions, capital stock, expenses, corporate actions, cash processing, and exception resolution. Accuracy and timeliness in daily deliverables are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as primary contact for derivative valuation inquiries
- Verify financial and transactional information
- Escalate and resolve problem items promptly
- Manage daily volume and ensure output meets quality/timeliness standards
- Support meeting team deadlines and reporting obligations
- Monitor and help resolve operational issues
- Follow up on open inquiries and breaks
- Liaise with internal BBH departments for resolution
- Contribute to management reporting (e.g., Clarity, PVCs, past dues, cash breaks, R&A analysis)
- Participate in process improvement and efficiency efforts
- Handle multiple tasks/projects within time/resource constraints
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business or Finance, or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Proven ability to identify, escalate, and resolve issues
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines under pressure
- Team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to work U.S. holidays and overtime as required
Additional Notes
- Hybrid Schedule: Up to 2 days remote per week. Full onsite may be required depending on training and team needs. Remote work is not guaranteed.
- Weekly Hours: 40 standard hours; overtime may be required.
- Temp-to-Perm Possibility: Not currently, but may change in the future.
