Ciprani Consulting is partnering with a well-established and highly respected funeral home in the Montgomery County/Greater Philadelphia area to find a Funeral Director who embodies compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. We’re looking for someone who brings both heart and initiative — an individual who takes pride in ensuring that each service is handled with care, precision, and respect. Compensation: • Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 (based on experience) • Paid time off and a supportive work environment Responsibilities: Minimal on-call professional responsibilities with full-time support and removal staff The right person will not be punching the clock; the right person has extreme ownership over their operation and makes sure all families and employees are taken care of first. Supporting Families with Care • Meet with families to guide them through available service options, pricing, and planning details. • Provide compassionate support and ensure every interaction is handled with empathy and professionalism. • Assist with gathering authorizations and completing required legal forms. Coordinating Services • Help organize funeral, memorial, and graveside services, managing details such as scheduling, transportation, music, floral arrangements, and coordination with clergy. • Prepare the deceased for viewing and ensure each service runs seamlessly. Handling Documentation & Records • Complete and file death certificates, burial permits, insurance claims, and other necessary documents. • Keep accurate and confidential records for both at-need and pre-need clients. • Ensure all work complies with state laws and industry standards. Operational & Facility Support • Help maintain the funeral home’s facilities and ensure they are welcoming and organized. • Monitor inventory and supplies, coordinating with vendors when needed. • Support the senior team in daily operations and uphold the funeral home’s high service standards. Community Presence • Represent the funeral home at community events and build meaningful relationships within the area. • Contribute to educational and outreach initiatives that build trust and awareness. Qualifications: • Licensed Funeral Director in the State of Pennsylvania (REQUIRED). • 3+ years of experience in funeral service or a completed internship. • Strong communicator with genuine compassion and poise. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. • Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow within a collaborative team. • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and being on-call as part of a service-driven environment.
