    Job Description

    As the Fuse Network Systems Engineer you will have direct impact on our vision of enhancing operator capabilities with user-focused communications, network, and software systems. You will serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for company-wide infrastructure operations: managing the purchase of licenses, maintaining and expanding overall systems architecture, implementing and ensuring compliance with cyber security controls, and conducting maintenance on computers, routers, and support equipment.  This role also has potential to work with project focused teams on engineering efforts for our secure communications network systems and hardware products - including input for network architecture, optimization schemes, implementing security protocols, configuring network systems, and supporting  ground and flight tests for airborne tactical networking systems.   Join our energetic, dynamic, and fast-growing team where the end-user lives at the heart of the design process!

    We are looking for optimistic, nimble self-starters who thrive in a team-focused environment.  We’ll expect you to take initiative, be passionate about our work, and move with a purpose.  Extensive technical background is required.  This role will support our mission in multiple capacities – overseeing company-wide IT functions; and may also contribute directly to system and product development of complex networking systems for military and DoD customers.  Ensuring all networks are secure and efficient is at the heart of what we do – your contribution in this area will be critical.   

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage and monitor Fuse company network (routers/switches/access points/firewall), test for weaknesses, install/test firmware and configuration updates, evaluate systems and network performance
    • Manage Private (VMware) and Public cloud environments
    • Manage Active Directory Domain (user/group permissions, GPO’s, file/print sharing)
    • Implement controls and ensure compliance with DFARS security requirement NIST 800-171
    • Purchase/Manage/Maintain Software Licensing
      • Office 365, Microsoft Server/Client OS, RHEL, VMware, Adobe
    • Manage, track, and plan upgrades to, shared storage appliances
    • Track Systems and Hardware Configurations, including system diagrams
    • Firewall configuration/troubleshooting
    • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to end users
    • Cabling/Switching/End User device configuration and troubleshooting
    • Monitor and manage on-site and off-site backup and replication processes
    • Provide support in the streamlining and configuration of auditing tools
    • Install and configure Redhat Enterprise Linux
    • Support test and evaluation of virtual machines and the network architecture, including internet access
    • Setup and troubleshoot VOIP devices

    REQUIRED Competencies:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information System, Engineering, Scientific or related Technical Field from an accredited college or 5 years equivalent experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in Microsoft Active Directory domain systems administration and computer networking
    • Experience with virtualized systems and administration (VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V)
    • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting  Linux Systems
    • Understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs, subnets, protocols, and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
    • Understanding of various wireless client tools to detect and resolve issues
    • Hand’s on experience configuring, testing, and troubleshooting firewalls
    • Experience installing and maintaining network security protocols

    ·        Knowledge/experience configuring and troubleshooting communications applications (email, chat, VOIP, etc.)

    • Ability and desire to obtain US Secret clearance

    ·        US Citizen

    DESIRED Skills or Experience:

    • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting wired and wireless networks
    • In-depth experience with Linux and virtualized systems
    • Hand’s on experience designing, developing and implementing successful end-to-end network architectures
    • Knowledge of wireless controllers (CISCO, Juniper), wireless access points and the ability to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot them
    • Experience with US Navy Communications Networks such as ADNS/ISNS/CANES
    • Knowledge of Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers,Information Systems and Reconnaissance (C4ISR)
    • CompTia Security +
    • CISSP
    • Current US Secret Clearance
