WHAT YOU DO

To further Futu’s mission, we’re looking for an experienced Data Analytics and BI Engineer who will:

Work collaboratively and creatively as part of a skilled team, you will work with the data engineering and analytics processes from end to end: responsible for analytics, modeling, operational reporting, and business support, consulting developers and product managers, carrying out experiments to refine data processes, tackling complex data engineering and analytics problems and implementing new data processes. You can balance customer needs with business goals and know how to improve the visibility and data solutions that enhance business value. Creative, curious, and highly analytical, you never stop learning and thrive on constant change in the digital marketplace.

This ROLE WILL BE In-depth business knowledge and advanced skills in data manipulation are required. Individual will need to translate business needs into insights and analysis as well as forecast on portfolio risk functions. The candidate will be self-motivated, highly analytical, and detail oriented.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and administer strategies for the control and sharing of organization data resources and services. 
• Create interfaces between systems to extract, transform and load data from source systems into target systems, mostly cloud based.
• Create or utilize various monitoring tools to assist monitoring of interfaces and applications.
• Establish links across existing data sources and find new, interesting relationships between data sources.
• Partner with business unit leaders and other key stakeholders to provide analytics and insights to enhance efficiencies, identify challenges, and quantify performance.
• Develop analytics and insights regarding market analytics, trading performance, etc. This includes identifying key drivers and developing forecast expectations. 
• Enhance and support performance models to quantify risk.
• Manage on-demand (ad hoc) requests to support the evolving needs of the business.
• Create and maintain executive dashboards to track performance and support decision making.
• Contribute to the continued development of report automation and self-service distribution through various BI tools.
• Assist in development of data management and application management policies and procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to data and application stakeholders.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Technology or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree a plus.
• 5+ years in data engineering, analytical and/or reporting role, with the ability to provide creative solutions for key business challenges as well as to work independently and managing priorities in fast paced environments.
• Experience interacting with and presenting to executive management.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Advanced skills in SQL for developing and maintaining complex models, analytics and dashboards.
• Experience developing dashboards, visualizations and analytics. 
• Experience accessing cloud based databases including AWS RDS MySL and Redshift.
• Significant experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Sisense and SSRS preferred.
• Working experience in cloud-based environment - AWS preferred.
• Experience working in the financial industry, with working knowledge of financial concepts.
• Proficiency with Linux operating system and databases.
• Exceptional communication skills, fluent in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
• Experience in the financial services industry preferred.

Salary Range: $120k - $140k
