The position
We are growing and adding a new position to our HR team. The Human Resources Generalist will ensure the organization and its facilities have the resources needed to operate smoothly and efficiently, provide support to the Human Resources team in areas related to staffing, benefits, employee relations, payroll, records and facilities management, and travel. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for applying all HR policies and company guidelines and making sure they adhere to standards and laws initiated by authorities.
** What you do**
- Prepares agendas, makes travel arrangements, and maintains calendars for senior management and corporate travelers across entities.
- Works closely with enterprise HR team to assist in coordination and support for company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans and company travel week(s) for enterprise staff.
- Assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Initiates and reviews background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Facilitates new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Maintains records, documentation, and files, particularly more complex or sensitive files such as employee files.
- Maintains records of physical assets and disposal of damaged or surplus property.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of basic administrative and clerical systems and procedures.
- Working knowledge of basic business and management principles as applied to resource allocation and coordination, and human resource practices.
- Mandarin speaking preferred.

** Education & Professional Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required.
- At least two years of human resources or related experience required. Recruitment experience in the Marketing industry highly desired.
- SHRM-CP a plus.

** Physical Requirement** s
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to navigate various departments and locations of the company.
