We’re an early team from Apple, Airbnb, Postmates & Fitbit that just raised a large Series A from top-tier investors. This is an opportunity to work closely with people who have changed several landscapes, and are now taking on health.

Backend engineers at Future operate at all levels -- building out core services, data pipelines, essential business systems, and customer-facing features. We’re responsible for the entirety of product surfaces across user and trainer experiences, and the initiatives we drive span across foundational core infrastructure to rapid feature iteration. Backend engineers work closely with frontend engineers & product managers to make sure we deliver the APIs, infrastructure, and scalability needed for every initiative. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with other engineers to build new features that scale
• Design, build & maintain APIs, services and systems across Future's engineering teams
• Debug production issues across the stack
• Improve engineering standards, tooling & process

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong knowledge of Go 
• Experience building at scale 
• Experience developing and deploying scalable APIs 
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals 
• A desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment 
• Experience with scoping & prioritizing projects
