Description:
CAN BE LOCATED IN LEWISVILLE, TX or YORK, PA The Procurement Analyst (Buyer) negotiates the purchase of complex equipment and strategic services within authorized limits, processes purchase requisitions and purchase orders using system software, looks for optimization, cost reduction, improved lead-times and product quality. The Buyer coaches and mentors the Associate Buyer and Buyer. The Buyer must have advanced knowledge of purchasing contract terms, RFP process, bid analysis and must be able to lead complex customer focused special projects. Key Responsibilities: • Purchase goods and services by utilizing the Procurement operation’s processes and technology across client enterprise to meet the needs of the customers. • Review purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy. • Develop, implement and follow established Procurement policies, procedures and organization structure. • Manage suppliers, internal costs, quality and delivery performance. • Drive continuous improvement on end to end aspects of the procurement process. • Maintain and promote sound relationships with suppliers and the business community. • Maintain positive relationships and communication with internal customers. • Demonstrate understanding of market trends and conditions for product changes. • Provide coaching and mentoring to Associate Buyer and Buyer. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in Business or Finance • 5 years buying and procurement related experience • Previous Experience
Other Requirements: • Ability to positively adjust to changing daily demands and work volumes required. • Effective verbal and written skills with mid to upper level management required. • Above-average telephone and interpersonal skills required. • Above-average judgment, initiative, problem solving, collaboration and teamwork skills required. • Ability to conduct Request for Proposal (RFP) projects. • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. • Knowledge of purchasing terms, concepts, processes and procedures. • Lawson Procurement system experience • CPM certification
