Futuri Media, which creates innovative interactive technology solutions for broadcasters, seeks a Front End Mobile Developer to be based out of our Seven Hills, Ohio office.

We’re looking for a web/mobile developer to maintain and expand our #engage and Futuri Mobile platforms. These platforms increasingly rely on the React Native framework (with some native components as well).

Responsibilities include:

Deal primarily with front-end code using React Native and other javascript-based frameworks, interfacing with Futuri’s proprietary API;

As needed, work with code running on our object-oriented PHP-based web application and core classes;

Prioritize multiple concurrent projects in different stages of development;

Act as technical lead on new development projects alongside the Product Manager, as required;

Write code that is efficient, reliable, and easy to understand;

Bring perspective and solutions to problems escalated from Support;

Be thoughtful in the work that is completed. Understand that “done” does not mean “done” if you haven’t thought through the implications of your work;

Work collaboratively with a fast-paced team in an effective and efficient way;

Know what it is like to be on the consumer end of media and media technology. Be willing to share your user experiences and great ideas.

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

Experience developing web applications using React Native, PHP, HTML 5, CSS 3, jQuery / Javascript, Backbone.js / Marionette.js

Experience working with relational database systems (we use MySQL primarily)

Experience working with NoSQL databases (we use Redis and MongoDB among others)

Experience working with external APIs from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and/or other search and social media platforms

Familiarity with Node.js, Bootstrap, Cordova, Cake, and Laravel

Familiarity with native mobile development (Objective C for iOS, Java for Android)

Familiarity with version control systems, git preferred

Enjoys the challenge of problem solving and diving into a legacy codebase

Knowledge of implementing automated testing/QA processes is a plus

An empathetic, client-focused, positive attitude

A passion for and knowledge of media (radio and/or local TV) a major plus

Must be cleared to work in the United States
