    Servpro of Lee’s Summit - Commercial Assistant Project Manager

    We are looking to hire a Commercial Assistant Project Manager (CPM) as a part of our Large Loss and Disaster Recovery Team. This CPM will be responsible for managing the mitigation or remediation of commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, and natural disasters. There will be extensive travel throughout the year as we service clients all over the country. When not traveling, the CPM will assist on commercial projects locally.

    It is crucial that the applicant be a great communicator with clients, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and company management. Applicant must be self-motivated and self-sufficient when it comes to all facets of commercial project management (fire, water, mold, storm, natural disasters, etc.) including, handling insurance claims, creating a scope and estimate, vetting and hiring subcontractors, delegating daily tasks and responsibilities and thorough documentation. Applicant must also maintain a positive and respectful attitude and is expected to be a leader for other team members within the organization. This is not an entry-level position. 3+ years of experience with commercial project management and the insurance industry.

    As a Commercial Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of assigned restoration projects and assigned Large Losses. This front-line management position leads their team to operational excellence.

    Applicant needs to be proficient in all aspects of emergency and restoration project management including but not limited to:

    Emergency response.

    Drying, dehumidification, and climate stabilization.

    Scope creation in Xactimate for mitigation.

    Equipment and consumable materials tracking.

    Insurance claims and the insurance process.

    Project documentation including moisture mapping, photo tracking, and daily reporting.

    Job costing, analysis, and tracking.

    Bidding, selection, and hiring of subcontractors.

    On-site project management and workflow.

    General understanding of a wide variety of commercial construction trades.

    Project scheduling, development of critical paths, and maintaining strict benchmarks.

    Overall coordination with other project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

    Any and all other tasks related to commercial emergency project management.

    Existing relationships with clients are a strong plus.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    Manage the customer and client experience and overall customer satisfaction tracked with online reviews

    Provide priority response to potential customers

    Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training restoration teammates

    Position Requirements:

    Valid driver’s license

    Successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law

    Computer literate; MS Word, Excel, or Similar

    At least 3 years of management and/or supervisory experience

    At least 3 years of industry experience

    IICRC certification a preferred

    Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies:

    Crisis Management

    Conflict Resolution

    Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)

    Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds

    Able to stand without assistance for long periods (8+ hours a day)

    Ability to work on Military Bases and Government Facilities
