    PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Manufacturing planner’s responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers. This position will also be providing leadership and direction to the manufacturing team within quality standards and with proper documentation provided as well.  This position shall engage with distributors to ensure effective and efficient utilization of resources and shall also participate in the processes required to estimate, manufacture, commission, test and install PODs to customers worldwide.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May supervise professional and/or support personnel

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

     Planning for the Manufacturing and Fabrication Departments– 50%

    • Provide detailed work packages for the manufacturing team, following each project from its inception to the SAT is complete

    • Estimating the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.

    • Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.

    • Implements manufacturing processes to ensure all products meet and exceed customer requirements and specifications, industry requirements, and code requirements domestically and internationally 

    • Selects and approves product materials used in PODs that are in compliance with technical and code requirements and industry standards

    • Ensures the quality of production by writing standard operation procedures (SOPs) and following up to receive completed documentation required by the same

    • Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to provide timely dissemination of information (e.g., production schedules/changes, performance details, operational challenges, etc.)

    Collaboration with PM’s, PE’s, and procurement 25%

    • Contributes to the development of project budgets to ensure products are built within budget

    • Works with the Supply Chain Manager, Project Manager and Project Engineer to produce Bill of Materials selection, including new product selection

    • Provide Bill of Materials, budget, and specs to the Supply Chain Manager for ordering

    • Works with project management on the plan and schedule of POD production provided to the VP of Manufacturing, sales engineer(s), procurement/supply chain and the production managers.

    • Ensures work parameters are within budgeted project costs, the capabilities of the manufacturing team, the team associated with commissioning and testing the PODs, and FAT and SAT deliverables

    Attending Project Meetings – 10%

    • Coordinates and engages with G-CON engineers, production, and management teams, as required, to plan for upcoming projects and opportunities

    • Works with the executive management team to profitably grow and expand the business worldwide and to create continued value and returns for all shareholders and stakeholders

    • Collaborates with other departments, such as sales and marketing, production, and supply chain, to ensure full compliance with quality system and to ensure that production targets are met

    • Collaborates with the sales department, as well as with internal and external engineering resources, to complete POD design and resolve design and compliance issues  

    R&D on Custom Pod Components – 5%

    • Develops strategies to promote solutions and capabilities of systems within the POD

    • Understands customer processes and business model

    • Assists in developing new products and IP to maintain a competitive and profitable advantage for the company

    • Sources new products and component parts and implements new designs and offerings within existing and new products

    MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Administrative Duties – 10%

    • Develop detailed work packages/SOPs

    • Will be heavily involved in the roll-out of the ERP system

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience: Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Business Management

    Minimum of 5 years: Experience in product management, manufacturing, logistics, and automation systems, along with management experience in overseeing various components of a department or functional area

    Advanced Working knowledge of process automation technology

    Advanced Knowledge in production scheduling and materials planning

    Advanced Knowledge operating systems and forecasting

    Advanced Knowledge in working with manufacturing-based technology and processes

    Advanced Skill in project management, planning, and logistics

    Advanced People management skills

    Advanced Skill in basic computer functions such as word processors, spreadsheets, and internet usage
