    Program Description: This position is responsible for supporting Engineering with document review, updates, coordination and capturing fabrication as-built conditions.  

    Essential Job Functions:

    Responsible for Model Accuracy, Drawing Preparation and Drawing Reviews 50%

    • Review 60% and 90% permit drawings for clash detection using Navisworks and participate in review meetings

    • Use Navisworks to do coordination reviews of Engineer of Record Drawings, Shop Drawings and submittals.

    • Creates and modifies detailed drawings using Revit and Autocad from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering

    • Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standard compliance

    • Makes corrections to drawings as requested by senior staff

    Supports External Departments as Needed 50% 

    • Assists in the review and update of GCON Standard Operating Procedures 

    • Assists in the execution of Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Testing protocols

    • Assist with inspection of materials upon receipt and material kitting 

    • Daily POD inspection of actual install compared to permit plans and shop drawings

    • Update project redlines on permit plan set and shop drawings weekly using Bluebeam.  Field walk redlines to confirm accuracy.

    • Observe POD fabrication process 

    Position Specifications

    Qualification Requirements:

    Education and/or Experience:

    In school for Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or training: Science, Engineering, Technology, or Math

    Minimum of 0 years Related experience using design software 

    Basic Skills and knowledge in using computer-aided design systems (CADs).  

    Basic Knowledge in design for manufacturability

    Basic Knowledge in Lean manufacturing initiatives

    Basic Knowledge and ability to read and use technical drawings 

    Intermediate Skill in documentation and attention to detail

    Intermediate Skill in basic computer functions such as word processors, spreadsheets, and internet usage

    Language Abilities:

    Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and work place policies. Ability to analyze, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to analyze and interpret technical research journals.  Ability to write professional correspondences.  Ability to present information in small group and large group situations to customer, strategic business partners, the general public, and other employees.  Ability to effectively present information to administrators, management, and other employees.

    Reasoning Abilities:

    Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to carry out business objectives. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Other Abilities:

    • Must be familiar with Revit and AutoCAD or similar programs

    • Must be able to visually communicate concepts, draw well and be very detail oriented

    • Must have an aptitude for building design and willing to specialize in pharmaceutical facilities design

    • Ability to make decisions and recommendations

    • Ability to demonstrate professionalism with personnel and management
