MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curricula

JOB PREREQUISITES:

• Proficient in computer aided design and drafting, spreadsheets and word processing programs
• Proficient in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer aided drafting 
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable design codes and client's standards
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Strong verbal, written and organizational skills

VALUED EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS (NON-REQUISITE):

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) License

PURPOSE:

Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance on transportation and public works projects such as roads, bridges, traffic, drainage, and water and sewage systems.

TYPICAL DUTIES: 

• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects
• Utilizing engineering and CAD software to provide designs for road, drainage, and other civil project plans and specifications
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Assisting in any duties required to deliver a quality product on schedule and within budget

Starting Pay:       Based on Experience

Business Hours:  Monday thru Thursday 7:30 am to 5:00pm; Friday 7:30 am to 11:30 am
