  • Responsibilities

    The G.I. Technician is responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for G.I. procedures, and assisting the physician during the G.I. procedures. This position works as a team member to contribute to the overall efficiency of the G.I. Services department.

    Required Experience

    R equired:

    • Current BCLS card
    • Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology
    • Knowledge of G.I. practices and medical terminology
    • Knowledge of aseptic technique and precautions
    • Knowledge of G.I. scopes, instruments, supplies, equipment and their use

    Preferred: ****

    • High school graduate or GED
    • Completion of Operating Room Technician program with certification or at least 2 years of G.I. experience
