GSW Manufacturing, Inc., an international manufacturer, and technology developer serving the automotive industry, is seeking an innovative, creative, and eager person who is excited to create and learn new technology for the role of Software Developer based out of the GSW Headquarters in Findlay, Ohio.

Primary Function:

Design, code, test and analyze software programs and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects
• Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
• Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
• Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or appearance of company Web site and/or related Web applications as necessary.
• Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
• Willingness to take ownership of their work and show initiative in tackling challenges, learning new skills, and finding ways to contribute.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Working technical knowledge of programming languages, including Visual Basic .Net, C# and Java.
• Experience developing MVC applications and using the Entity Framework for data access.
• General experience with Microsoft SQL database.
• Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies.
• Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
• Highly self-motivated and directed,
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Education/Experience:

4 Year degree in the field of computer science or software engineering and 2 years work experience is preferred.
