ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED

SUMMARY/PRIMARY PURPOSE

The position of systems administrator is established to administer classified IT environments and systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Design, analyze, maintain, and implement LAN/WAN equipment and networks
• Lead a LAN/WAN system analyst team in strategic planning
• Develop technical policies and procedures regarding LAN/WAN activities and the activities of a secure lab space
• Monitor and test the plans and backup systems
• Use and interpret results of SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC)
• Configure and operate systems IAW DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Conduct configuration management
• Maintaining need-to-know when allocating security attributes
• Configuration management
• Other duties/projects as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

• Desktop and server hardware installation and administration

• Windows 10 workstation build-out and administration

• Windows 2016 Server build-out and administration

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) build-out and administration

• Apache server configuration and administration

• VMWare ESXi build-out and administration

• Teamwork Cloud administration

• Backup and disaster recovery

• Network cabling

• Security+ certification

• Linux Operating System Certification

• SECRET clearance (eligible for TOP SECRET)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Administering IT systems IAW DSS and NISPOM Chapter 8 security requirements
• Cassandra database administration
• Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifact development / sustainment
• Classified Wide Area Network (WAN) administration
• WSUS setup and administration
• DoD Secure Host Baseline (SHB)
• SIPR PKI tokens
• MySQL server configuration and administration
• Cisco ASA and switch administration

CERTIFICATIONS

• RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Cisco
• Security+
• Network+
• CISSP or CASP
• Cassandra certification
