    Our busy legal firm is looking for an efficient, organized assistant to help our attorneys and paralegals assist our clients and ensure we’re operating efficiently. You’ll greet clients, assist with the preparation of legal documents, and handle all office correspondence including answering phone calls and emails, processing incoming mail and documents, and calendaring hearings and deadlines. If you have experience in a law firm environment, work well under pressure, and are looking for a rewarding opportunity in the legal industry, we want to connect with you. We are looking to fill one position in CUMMING and one position in WOODSTOCK. We want to be known for helping clients get through difficult times involving death, disability, and aging, with the knowledge that they had a team behind them that really cared and fought for them. Clients matter to us. We are growing fast, and we need a Team Player who can hit the ground running. Experience in a law office is a BONUS! The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand-holding. This is a full-time job, and you absolutely must be able to work in the office for 40 hours per week. During the first 90 days of employment, the pay will be $15.00/hour, with opportunities for an increase after that. There is an opportunity for bonus compensation for those who can demonstrate their profitability. Responsibilities: • Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly • Greet clients and maintain lobby and conference room areas • Review and process incoming mail and documents • Review and calendar all important dates and deadlines • Answer phones, create messages and manage phone message board • Manage electronic and physical case files daily • Create and log case expenses in Case Management software • Work with attorneys and paralegals to create transmittals of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation • Become part of a team that believes in what we do and believes that we have the potential to make a difference in people's lives Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent is necessary • 1 year of prior experience in an office environment as an administrative assistant • Proficient with MS Office products • Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills • You feel an urgency to complete your To-Do list • You genuinely enjoy helping people • You are an awesome juggler of tasks and can change gears quickly • You do not think scanning and copying are "beneath you" • You are a team playerYou want your talents and work ethic to make a difference Compensation: $34,000 - $42,000 yearly
