    Job Summary:

    Quality Engineer ensures that a company's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems.

    Qualification Requirements:

    • BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
    • ASQC/CQM/CQE certification preferred.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
    • Understand and execute Quality Management System Tools.
    • 8D / 5Y knowledgeable
    • Post Hire Training Required: AQP, ISO, PPAP Submission Process, Containment Process (Level I, II, III).
    • Problem-solving skills.
    • Operate computers and technical measuring equipment.
    • Read blue prints.
    • Very well organized in maintaining documentation. Good communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task with high volume of work load.
    • Team player - ability to work well in a cross-functional work environment.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Incorporate safe working procedures into all daily activities in and around facility.
    • Maintain adherence to product quality standard in department for incoming materials and finished goods.
    • Identify, record, and resolve any problems relating to product, process, and quality system.
    • Coordinate & support ISO activities.
    • Represent the Company to our customer and vendors, including quality-related supplier visits and contacts as required.
    • Make independent decisions/referrals to resolve potential quality problems as required.
    • Resolve and document quality issues in a disciplined approach.
    • Evaluate, transact, and dispose non-conforming material.
    • Analyze data and performance and evaluate quality of incoming and outgoing product.
    • Control product quality through development and use of FMEA's, Control Plans, Flow Charts, and solid Problem-Solving skills. Maintain documentation between Process Flows, PFMEA, Control Plans and SMPs.
    • Creates computerized graphs, reports that clearly demonstrate quality characteristics.
    • Ensures that Total Productive Maintenance is performed on a timely basis and that maintenance objectives are achieved.
    • Maintain flexibility in ability to adjust to changes in job requirements and hours, while completing other functions daily without fail.
    • Maintain 5S in work areas.
    • Train and assist in problem solving.
    • Performs functional quality tests as required.

    • Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, reach, and climb. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and 50 pounds assisted. Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day and overtime as required.

    • Operate material handling equipment, bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing.

    • Ability to deal with stress associated with meeting multiple deadlines and demands.

    • Working conditions are normal for a logistics/distribution center/warehouse environment including exposure to changing building temperatures.
