    Experience:

    Required Skills:

    • Certification: SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification and/or SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) certification

    • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills; prior experience working in a matrix and geographically distributed organization.

    • Mastery in managing and facilitating across teams/departments.

    • 8+ years of demonstrated Release Train Engineer, Master Scrum, or similar technical role in a software development environment.

    • 5+ years of software delivery management covering all aspects of SDLC.

    • 3+ years of experience with Project Mgmt. Tools: MS Project, SharePoint, Jira, Office 365, Slack

    • Experience in preparing and presenting complex technical and management presentations to customers.

    • 2+ years of experience with Lean Portfolio Management.

    • Demonstrate drive, initiative, and creativity.

    • Logical, organized, and execution oriented.

    • Pass a US Government Background Investigation and be able to obtain a security clearance

    Desired skills:

    • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Eazy BI)
    • Understanding cloud computing technologies, IT business drivers, and emerging computing trends and technologies.
    • Additional Certification: Other SAFe Certification (e.g. POPM, DevOps), Agile Project Management (e. g., Jira/Confluence/MS Project), AWS/MS Azure Certifications

    Job Summary

    Seeking a remote Solution Train Engineer specializing in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The candidate will support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Cloud and National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) initiatives. The candidate must be forward-thinking and possess a passion for providing facilitation and guidance for all agile release trains (ARTs) transformation solutions for our customers. He/she will work with teams that are rapidly delivering value to their customers, leveraging concepts of Agile SAFe, Lean, and Kanban.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    STE (Solution Train Engineer) plays a critical role in the solution train of the Scaled Agile Framework. He/she is expected to act as a lean-agile leader, and team coach to deliver added value to the stakeholders. Prefer demonstrated experience in leading by example, instilling lean, agile practices, and guiding with the necessary system-thinking mindset to achieve higher productivity.

    • Work with a team to facilitate and guide engineers and staff on agile release trains (ARTs).
    • Mastery in managing and facilitation across teams/departments.
    • Drive cross team, ART and departmental impediments, planning, collaboration, and coordination.
    • Facilitate solution events, coach the team, and assist them to deliver added value by closely working with Solution Architect & Management.
    • Identify and proactively work to remove barriers, influence decisions, guide ADM (Agile Delivery Manager), and improve the entire delivery system.
    • Help the team and ART end-users understand their impact on the overall picture of the decision-making process.
    • Prepare, support, and facilitate Large Solution PI Planning
    • Coordinate Large Solution Delivery by facilitating synchronization in the solution train. Identify release coordination activities by developing a tempo to release activities within and across ARTs (release tracking, meetings, & management) to provide process structure.
    • Lead portfolio planning and help organize the portfolio to align delivery to enterprise strategy.
    • Collaborate with Product Management, Solution Architecture & Engineering to collectively plan cycles, ART sync, backlog refinement, and continuous communications.
