We Got This Covered is a global digital entertainment brand that covers a multitude of pop culture topics for up to 12+ million monthly readers. We're currently seeking freelance writers to cover evergreen topics for our website. This is a fully remote position.

Interested candidates should have in-depth knowledge regarding movies, television (including streaming), and internet memes. This is a great opportunity to cover topics about the franchises you love (and some you'll come to love) while working with a talented and passionate team. Applicants should be motivated self-starters who are eager to learn and respond well to constructive criticism. We're a global, digital news room filled with passionate and talented team members.

Please provide a resume, portfolio / writing samples, and a cover letter detailing your previous work experience, professional goals, and primary beats you're interested in / have covered in the past.

Responsibilities:

• Help cover movie, TV, and internet topics
• Work with editors to develop pitches
• Meet deadlines for publishing stories
• Write about a variety of topics for the site
• Write 20+ articles per month

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of editorial/journalistic experience (especially entertainment based writing)
• Knowledge of SEO practices
• Enthusiasm and passion for the entertainment industry

Compensation ranges from $16-90 per article depending on word count.
