Ganas MFG is a Detroit-based company specializing in architectural millwork, metal work and bespoke furniture.

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our team and help lead our engineering department on high end fast paced millwork, cabinetry, furniture and metal fabrication projects.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 5+ years of experience designing and detailing architectural millwork, cabinetry and furniture.

• Read and accurately interpret architectural and interior design drawings.

• Creation of parametric 3D models, 2D drawings, and CNC programming.

• Experience in Fusion 360 or Inventor is plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate

• Managing all aspects of your projects such as modeling, drawings, hardware/material specs and procurement.

• Working directly with our clients driving the design and engineering for manufacturing

• Must be detail oriented, a problem solver, great time management, and great written and oral communication skills.

• Extensive knowledge of construction materials and methods, including metal, wood, lighting, stone and glass.

• Knowledge of Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) Standards

• Employ use of general construction knowledge while staying on top of innovative construction methods and material selections.

• Communicate and collaborate with the CAD Manager and Project Manager to complete tasks in a timely manner.

• Experience in designing for fabrication using horizontal, 3 and 5 axis CNC machines.
