About the Role:

Ivywood Academy in Snellville, GA is looking for a passionate and dedicated GAPREK Lead Teacher (T4/T5) to join our growing team of early childhood educators. Responsibilities:

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with GAPREK standards and guidelines

Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all students

Observe, document, and assess student progress and development in accordance with T4/T5 requirements

Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding student growth and milestones

Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support whole-child development goals

Maintain accurate classroom records, portfolios, and required GAPREK documentation

Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides as needed

Requirements:

Must meet Georgia PREK (GAPREK) T4 or T5 teacher qualification requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred

Prior experience in a lead teacher GA Pre-K setting

Strong knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate instructional strategies

Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills

Ability to maintain required certifications, background checks, and health screenings

Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood education
