WORK DESCRIPTION: (DESCRIBE DUTIES)

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for the following duties:

• Study and understand the existing business, systems, data, and technology landscape at Austin Energy
• Leverage the Sparx EA platform to both retrieve and store architectural information
• Develop all new and modifying any existing architectural models in the Sparx EA platform
• Work closely with business relationship managers to understand the business needs of the various divisions of Austin Energy
• Assess incoming technology Demands in ServiceNow to develop high-level solution architectures that meet business needs
• Conduct market research to understand the cost of implementation for the derived high-level solution architecture
• Gather input from business and technical stakeholders in the development of proposed high-level solution architectures
• Present developed high-level architectures to project teams at project kick-off to provide context for the project’s work
• Contribute to the development of project charters and requirements documents
• Contribute to, review, and approve detailed technical design documents on projects
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of requests for proposal (RFPs)
• Develop detailed financial net present value (NPV) analyses of various solution options
• Contribute to as-built technical diagrams

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION (SECURITY/NETWORKING) (REQUIRED)

3 Years  Experience developing Network architectures and implementing Network Solutions

2 Years  Direct Experience working with Microsoft Azure

5 years  Experience in developing enterprise architecture across the entire EA stack – business architecture,                   data and systems architecture, and technical architecture

 5 years  Experience developing Enterprise architectures to meet business needs

 3 years  Experience developing financial models of proposed solutions

 3 Years Working/configuring/managing the SPARX Enterprise Architect Application

  Current Certification    TOGAF 1 & 2
