    Job Description

    GBS Building Supply, a division of US LBM, was formed in 1972 by a group of homebuilders in search of a better source for lumber, roofing, millwork, and more within Greenville, SC. Since then, the company has expanded across South Carolina and North Carolina. Today, we provide the best in specialty building products and services to professional builders and contractors across the Carolinas and Georgia.

    HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR DAYS AS AN COUNTER SALES REPRESENTATIVE:

    • Provide Outstanding Customer Service
    • Write customer orders, mill orders and delivery orders and collect payment.
    • Assist customers with design and material list for projects.
    • Advise customers on lumber and hardware use to include bidding of projects.
    • Assist manager in maintaining a clean, organized, properly stocked store.
    • Open and close store as directed by manager.
    • Assist manager in updating hardware and lumber prices.
    • Assist in or complete end of day paperwork.
    • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    • Previous inside sales support or account coordination experience preferred
    • Excellent communication skills – both verbally and written
    • Remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can be redirected
    • Interpersonal skills, customer service, and a sense of urgency is a must
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to perform tasks and manage time with minimal oversight in a team environment
    • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office Suite
