  • Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    For our clients, the CFO will provide financial leadership in evaluating strategic partnerships and investment opportunities and structuring deals with joint venture, strategic alliance and other strategic partners. This individual will oversee the financial requirements of business strategy proactively setting operational direction through financial analysis, support, and systems. The candidate will be accountable for cash flow management and financing the company. Responsible for tax & growth strategies as well as standard accounting functions (AR/AP/GL/, etc.), legal/contracts, facilities, HR, and purchasing. Key responsibilities of leading and managing the financial affairs for our clients include:

    • Providing financial and analytical support and business judgment to the company’s tactical and strategic decisions in the operations, marketing, and growth arenas
    • Identifying and managing the overall financial needs of the company, including cash flow management strategies and identifying areas for improvement
    • Proactively leading the business analysis, administration, and planning functions
    • Assisting in vendor negotiations for beneficial terms
    • Leading and managing the control function, integrating systems with controls
    • Developing appropriate financial models to help direct the business
    • Preparing financial reports and making presentations to senior management, investors and the Board of Directors
    • Planning and executing financial “road shows” to potential investors
    • Upon going public, working closely with security analysts and handling all investor relations issues. Responsible for all SEC reporting matters

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BS/BA in accounting or finance or equivalent with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of related financial experience with exposure to equity financing, the IPO process, and involvement with a growing entrepreneurial company.
    • CPA, MBA and/or JD helpful.
    • SEC reporting experience in a public company is highly desirable.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-management environment.
    • Must be bright, energetic, have a strong sense of urgency, and hold a high regard for personal responsibility and accountability.
