Job Description

We have a position available for a Safety and Compliance Manager at GRANE Transportation Lines, Ltd., a pillar of trucking in Chicagoland since 1925.

As a Safety Compliance Manager, you will provide oversight of the company's Safety and DOT/OSHA Compliance. Must be detail-oriented, have good communication skills, and be able to lead by example.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage system that tracks the Federal Drug and Alcohol Testing
• Provide oversight on the DOT Inspection and Citation Processing to ensure strict compliance.
• Monitor Driver Qualification procedure including the components to ensure proper compliance from federal, state, company rules, regulations, and policies to include: CDL, physicals, MVR Reports, license suspensions agreements, and hazmat training.
• Identify systems and processes within the company that are out of compliance and works with internal management to provide corrective actions.
• Work with medical facilities to ensure compliance with federally mandated requirements.
• Provide support as needed for Injury, Workers Compensation, and Accident claims.
• Track OSHA, injury, and accident statistics and reports
• Track driver log exception processing, and on point-of-contact for compliance

REQUIREMENTS:

Working knowledge of DOT regulations regarding driver qualifications and requirements

• Able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with Microsoft Office

2 or more years experience working in Safety for a transportation company

• Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement a PLUS
