    Partner Alliance Specialist

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

     

    GDT Partner Alliance Specialists are responsible for working collaboratively with GDT’s industry leading Information Technology Hardware and Software business partners in supporting our joint business development and marketing activities to grow sales. Partner Alliance Specialists are knowledgeable in understating individual OEM offerings and how to leverage OEM programs and marketing resources to grow assigned OEM partners sales.

     

    This position is based in our Dallas Innovation Campus Headquarters or our Houston Sales Office.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND FOCUS:

     

    · Manages assigned GDT and OEM/vendor relationships by understanding special pricing programs including submissions for pricing request and any data or OEM program incentives.

    · Work with sales leadership to forecast deals on a monthly, quarterly, yearly basis

    · Involves other resources (field, brand, engineering, financing, vendor managers) to address opportunities and issues.

    · Focuses on growing and developing new business; proactively calls and engages GDT sales teams to grow sales for assigned OEM partners.

    · Determines and understands customers’ requirements for GDT product offerings.

    · Translates OEM products and promotions into benefits for GDT customers and sales resources.

    · Serves as a liaison between GDT’s internal resources (field sales, engineering, supplier marketing,) and OEM channel and GDT field sales teams.

    · Demonstrates a proactive approach and sense of urgency on our sales team’s behalf, anticipates our customers’ requirements and communicates efforts in a timely and effective manner.

    · Drives sales growth through new customers, generates OEM leads by working with GDT Marketing department and communicates new opportunities to GDT internal stakeholders.

    · Leverages GDT and OEM programs and promotions to drive unique value throughout the sales cycle.

     

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

     

    · 2+ years Channel Manager or equivalent experience preferred

    · Good verbal and written communications skills required

    · Experienced in working with Datacenter, Network, or Security OEM’s

    · Self-starter with a hunter mentality

    · Ability to work independently

    · Problem solving skills

    · 4-year degree preferred.
