    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Product Manager for the Lighting Partner Program, Professional Installation Lighting will focus on fostering strong relationships with complimentary industry brands to expand the offering provided to GE Lighting/Savant Customers.  This role will manage both the business relationship as well as support any development needs required by the partnership.

    As the Partner Program lead, you will guide the team by identifying portfolio opportunities which can be enhanced through partnership.  You will identify the features which make the solution a unique value add to the platforms.

    You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; to convert cool ideas into profitable business. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand the market demand to compliment the current Lighting offering.

    You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with your engineering counterparts to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.

    You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working with the commercial team and key customers.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Understanding the needs of Electricians, CEDIA integrators, and lighting designers to evaluate market demand

    Create clear and concise partnership agreements that drive shared profitability

    • Determine feature prioritization to help meet customer demand and strategic organization needs.

    Understand purchasing and fulfillment demands and ensure customer needs are accommodated with each partnership

    • Understand regional and international compliance needs to ensure contract acts compliment each partnerships full opportunities
    • Work with marketing and product marketing to correctly communicate the value propositions of our software and applications to consumers.
    • Communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
    • Delegate work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
    • Conduct risk assessment reports and identify risks to management. Provide recommendations for mitigation of risk regarding the product.
    • Address questions, concerns, and/or complaints regarding the product.
    • Communicate and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information to partner adoption.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Strong analytical and legal lease for contract evaluation.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
    • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Must be able to meet physical requirements consistent with officer work such as prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and lifting 15 pounds at times.

    DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

    • 2 years of product management or Business development experience
    • Bachelor’s degree, or in the place of a degree, relevant work experience.
    • Personal or professional experience working with smart-home or home-automation products.
