This is a 12 month opportunity on the Hourly-Based IT Services (HBITS) Contract at the State of New York. (Possibility of extension).

Required Experience:

• Oracle 10g or higher Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 84 months of experience upgrading and patching Oracle 10g or higher Database software in a Unix-like environment (e.g. AIX, Linux, Exadata etc). Experience must include both upgrading and patching an entire RAC cluster with DataGuard. 7.5 10
• 84 months of experience installing Oracle 10g or higher Database software in a Unix-like environment (e.g. AIX, Linux, Exadata etc). Experience must include installing and configuring an entire RAC cluster with DataGuard.
• 48 months of experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13 or higher.
• 48 months of experience working with GoldenGate in an Oracle database environment
• 36 months of experience with Oracle 10g or higher with an application tier which uses IBM Cúram architecture (direct experience with Cúram itself not necessary).
• 84 months of experience troubleshooting Oracle 10g or higher database performance and other related issues; specifically by working with other teams to identify if the issue is at the storage, network, database, or application tier.
• 84 months of experience working with developers to suggest modifications which could improve the performance of their SQL (e.g., avoiding cartesian products, suggesting indexes, etc).
• 84 months of experience using RMAN for backup and recovery of Oracle 10g or higher databases. Experience must include using RMAN for recovery.
