GEO Prep Mid-City of Greater Baton Rouge is a tuition-free, public charter school that serves students in grades K-8. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing an outstanding education for students each day as they transition from elementary to middle school to high school and COLLEGE. Our curriculum and teaching methods are designed using Core Knowledge in K-8 and a blended learning model in elementary school through high school. We are a TAP school!
REPORTS TO/TERM:
Principals Lead Principal and GEO Foundation
This is a 12 month full time position serving both GEO Prep Academy and GEO Prep – Mid City, Inc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree or 60 verifiable college credits minimum
Sincere desire to work in a diverse K-12 school environment and make a difference in the lives of students and families
Experience working in a school
Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft and Google
Proven Power School experience
High level of organization
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: The Office Manager is to assist Principals and Staff in overall business operations. The duties are but not limited to:
Maintain all school and office equipment
Provide orientation for new staff
Manage staff absence reporting
Oversee custodian and building maintenance
Assist Human Resource Manager with payroll and hiring processes
Assist Accounting and Accounts Payable Dept.
Manage Student Data
Hire and maintain a current list of substitute teachers
Oversee and assist with all aspects of student enrollment
Supervise and manage school lunch program including state required reporting
Purchasing
Assist School Compliance Officer with state mandated compliance reporting
Fill in for school Administrative Assistant/Receptionist as needed
Work well with staff to contribute towards positive school culture
Coordinate business needs with school’s sponsoring organization
Be cheerfully willing to work towards the better good of the school at times even when asked to assist with duties not in your regular work schedule
Attend all grade level and staff meetings and attend designated school functions outside of school hours
Follow the school’s policies and procedures.
Preform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the principal
