    Job Description

    SUMMARY:

    The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for ensuring invoices flow through the approval process to be paid. This includes research and resolution on exceptions for successful payment processing.

     

    JOB DUTIES:  

    • Monitor various invoice exceptions queues and resolve all issues preventing the invoices from being processed

    • Supports Procure to Pay Accounts Payable on-boarding for invoice processing, utilizes imaging workflow capabilities and framework

    • Monitors vendor credit balances to ensure proper application and payment processing

    • Utilizes AP systems to perform accounting uploads in a timely manner

    • Provides weekly metrics on assigned exception queues; including identifying adverse factors and their causes

    • Communicates regularly with teams and management on status updates, issues, and risks

    • Researches and participates in special projects related to accounts payable

    • Other duties as required and assigned

       

      REQUIREMENTS:

    • Associates Degree in Accounting or related field from a 2 year college or university

    • Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Knowledge of accounts payable software

    • Experience in Great Plains

    • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel

    • Ability to use critical thinking to solve complex problems

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers

    • Excellent planning and organizational skills

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual

    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

       

      ENVIRONMENT:

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk.  The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.  The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.

    Company Description

    As a GEODIS Freight Forwarder, we deliver and support operations and processes such as transport and customs clearance on behalf of the customer. We also troubleshoot issues that arise while goods are in transit.
