Responsibilities: • Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations • Create methods to help the sales team reach and surpass monthly room booking targets that are in line with the hotel's overall revenue management goals • Formulate sales strategies that sustain high levels of occupancy and profitability in collaboration with department managers and their goals • Organize meetings with department heads, report on sales activity for the previous and upcoming weeks, and produce a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenses • Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast Qualifications: • Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel • Demonstrates a proven track record of success in sales through lead-generation and closing • Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required • Must have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required
