    Local Nonprofit Organization that provides free instruction to qualified students with the aim of providing students enough of an educational experience to find entry-level work in the culinary or hospitality industry

    Responsible for providing quality instruction to students through well-prepared classes, relevant assignments, clear documentation of student progress, and support of the academic success of all types of adult students.

    • Teach assigned courses to adults of all ages in one classroom/kitchen environment
    • Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons
    • Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations, and timelines through carefully written topical outlines and an approved standardized syllabus
    • Provide Interesting and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting
    • Provide the challenge, engagement, service, and communication to students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respects
    • Maintain the understanding that all equipment and kitchen environment is your responsibility to keep clean at all times and to teach this constant skill to all students – and always be part of the cleaning process.
    • Complete all assessments, grade books, and final grade sheets per requirements
    • Respond to student questions as part of the educational piece
    • Identify and refer at-risk students for assistance with all available resources
    • Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus
    • Ensure the safety and sanitation of all labs, equipment, and supplies
    • Post and maintain office and classroom schedules
    • Fill in when and where required as support to the entire organization where possible
    • Support program, campus, and school retention activities
    • Complete required professional development and training activities
    • Responsible to maintain credentials as required by accrediting councils/agencies and regulatory bodies

    Required Experience

    • Possesses a minimum of Five (5) years of experience
    • Candidate must have obtained at least a Master’s Degree in the field of the culinary world – We require an instructor that knows what they are doing and is prepared to share those experiences with our adult students – Students range from 18 – 70 years old.
    • Must possess all additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation
    • Selected candidates will also be required to complete a satisfactory background check
    • Must have positive real-world experience in restaurants, and must be willing to share those experiences in a positive nature to students in a manner conducive to a learning environment.
    • The candidate will be required to submit a resume and/or curriculum vitae and unofficial copies of any and all degrees and transcripts deemed required for the position
