    GGWP is a fast-paced start-up co-founded by four successful entrepreneurs with the backing of key strategic investors in the video game industry. GGWP aims to curb toxicity in gaming by creating positive, player centric experiences. We are working with popular online video games who are aligned with our mission.

    We are seeking talented data scientists to join our team. As a data scientist, you will primarily work with the team to implement new or refine existing AI components to the toxicity system. You will collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to identify, test, and support implementation of discovered insights. You may be responsible for querying, exploring, manipulating, refining, linking, and curating data. You will discuss results with colleagues and iteratively refine models as needed. When you conclude that the analysis is ready, you will partner with members of the engineering team to simplify, architect, and implement a solution for scalable deployment. Additionally, you may be part of teams that work with and present analysis directly to game studios.

    Your responsibilities as a data scientist will include:

    • - Data exploration, analysis, and feature extraction
    • - Using machine learning to extract information from our diverse set of features
    • - Writing, reviewing, checking-in and documenting code; creating data quality checks
    • - Software engineering and designing data pipelines
    • - Creating visualizations appropriate for various audience levels
    • - Working together with engineers and product teams

    What we are looking for:

    • 2+ years of industry experience analyzing data and building ML models in a production environment

    • Understanding of various ML models and the trade-offs between them

    • Experience with Python or relevant scripting language

    • Experience with databases

    • Experience building data pipelines from end to end:

      • Understanding business use cases and requirements for different internal teams
      • Cleaning, evaluating, and visualizing data
      • Feature engineering
      • Model exploration and evaluation
      • Maintenance
    • Experience in data analysis, including (a) querying, segmenting and visualizing data to evaluate hypotheses, and (b) communicating impact to both technical and non-technical audience

    • Experience working with different types of datasets (e.g. unstructured, semi-structured, with missing information)

    • Ability to think critically and creatively in a dynamic environment, while picking up new tools and domain knowledge along the way

    • A positive attitude, and a growth mindset

    Bonus:

    • A passion for gaming =)
    • Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g. CS, Statistics, Sciences, Engineering, Economics, etc…)
    • Familiarity with different data stores (e.g. flat files, buckets, graph, columnar, NoSQL)
    • Experience with Cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS) and relevant microservices (e.g. dynamo, lambda functions)
