  • Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Facilitates the scheduling process with Project Superintendents using project planning documents and output from the interdepartmental planning process as a basis for developing the project schedules.

    Essential Job Functions:

    Professionally represents GH Phipps and effectively supports Company strategic initiatives.

    Establish and foster positive long-term relationships with internal customers and business partners.

    Obtain input from project team members, subcontractors, suppliers and client to support the development of a baseline schedule, and subsequently to update schedule progress and forecasting.

    Evaluate schedule alternatives and construction practices to support project changes.

    Generate detailed CPM scheduling information so that the Superintendents and Project Managers can sufficiently and efficiently track and plan the projects.

    Continuously monitors the scheduling efforts during pre-planning phase to ensure all aspects of the project are addressed prior to mobilization and throughout the construction process resulting in professional project management. Helps to manage and update the project schedule in conjunction with the project manager and field leadership team to ensure the project schedules are achieved.

    Integrate Primavera schedule with BIM utilizing 4D simulations to communicate scheduled, and inconsistent or missing representations of work to the project team.

    Provide updates to the CPM schedules on a timely basis including modifying existing schedules and creating additional schedules as needed to accomplish the project.

    Manage resource and cost loaded schedules.

    Assist Superintendent and Supervising Foremen with short interval scheduling.

    Assist in integrating CPM scheduling with estimating and cost accounting programs

    Works with the field operations manager, project manager, subcontractors and field leaders to ensure project status and any schedule changes are known to all involved parties.

    Coordinates with the field operations manager, project manager and other project team members in the scheduling efforts to ensure the accomplishment of the service objectives and a seamless transition into the construction phase.

    Helps to manage all scheduling efforts in a timely manner by archiving project schedules in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    Experience Requirements:

    5-10 years of experience in the production of coordinated design documents on large, complex projects

    5-10 years of experience or exposure to the “architects” role of the complete design process from programming through construction administration

    5-10 years of experience with constructability of building components, 3D modeling and other basic office computer systems software

    Education Requirements:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
