SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Superintendent supports various projects in Denver and across the CO front range. Supports all aspects of jobsite management including staffing, scheduling, project coordination and business partner/subcontractor relations. Efficiently allocates labor and equipment. Coordinates work effectively with superintendent, project manager, project team and subcontractors.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Professionally represents GH Phipps and effectively supports Company strategic initiatives
Fosters positive long-term relationships with subcontractors and business partners
Demonstrates strong process and application knowledge (building codes, etc.)
Skilled at jobsite management; Effectively leads and delivers on key projects and commitments while maintaining team focus on safety, quality and budget
Understands and effectively utilizes drawings, specifications, subcontract agreements and purchase orders
Effectively assists with material delivery schedules and change management process
Communicates effectively with the project manager, superintendent, subcontractors and field leaders to ensure project status and any changes are known to all involved parties.
Leads, implements and enforces jobsite safety requirements and GH Phipps Quality Assurance Program
Responsible for helping to develop team member competencies and skill sets. Maintains regular communication with team members and actively engages with superintendent in team support and problem-solving
Assists with job set-up, communications, safety compliance, record-keeping, quality control and closeout
Leads and/or assists with miscellaneous project duties as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (unless otherwise noted):
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management and/or equivalent experience preferred (HS diploma or GED required)
At least five (5) years practical leadership experience in commercial construction; Experience with field supervision in large-scale renovation and mid-size to large-scale projects ($10 million plus) preferred
