Job Description

PROJECT ACCOUNTANT Our client in the Real Estate industry is seeking a Project Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting needs of the organization. The successful candidate for this position will have experience in the real estate industry and a strong understanding of brokerage statements. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Post over 180+ brokerage statements including posting stock purchases, stock sales, gains/(losses), dividends, interest, fees, and any taxes paid foreign & domestic
• Full-cycle accounting for multiple assigned real estate entities in a timely manner
• Reconciling Brokerage Statements
• Recording purchases and sales of property
• Proposing and recording adjusting journal entries
• Producing periodic reports and related financial statements for review
• Monitoring and adhering to schedules and requirements of investors, lenders and other stakeholders for production of periodic reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in accounting preferred
• Working knowledge of Brokerage Statements
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work with multiple Real Estate entities
• Positive, open attitude with flexibility to work on different projects under different timelines
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
